Yeah because outboxing and KOing a past it Pulev in 9 rounds is SUPER impressive. Even though a prime Wladimir completely massacred a prime Pulev in 5 as soon as he got out of first gear.....(LOL)
Chin talk? Really? OK, the experts have arrived Usyk has never really been hurt let alone dropped, stopped or knocked out And he's fought lots of savage punchers and legit bangers As a pro Gassiev, Briedis, Chisora, Bellew, Glowacki, Hunter, Huck He fought a lot of punchers in the amateurs/WSB too In the WSB Majidov, Nistor, Joyce, Fa Even the likes Chazz Witherspoon could punch and had stopped 14 of his previous 15 wins. I'm not trying to say he isn't anything he isn't but he can crack a bit 'An amateur for just two years, Witherspoon was a National Golden Gloves Champion as well as a 2004 Olympic alternate. Witherspoon tallied a record of 25-6 and became the only man in the Golden Gloves to knockout all five of his opponents en route to the National Title' Fury was dropped by Cunningham, Pajkic, The Tuscaloser, and hurt by Firtha AJ was knocked senseless and stopped by Nistor, dropped twice by Whyte in the amateurs (both mere novices and very raw at the time though) and hurt badly by him in the pros, knocked out in sparring by David Price, dropped heavily by Wlad, and bounced up and down off the canvas like a yo-yo by Fat Andy who had only stopped 4 of his previous 10 opponents. If you want to argue chins at HW. Well, we can't just conveniently ignore the fact that he passed a test at that weight when he ate big shots of a 255lb puncher in Chisora and when he fought Majidov, Nistor, Joyce and Fa in the WSB People can pretend like those fights didn't happen but that doesn't make it reality They can also pretend like Gassiev isn't a murderous puncher who hasn't bashed up, hurt, broken the ribs of, and knocked out top HWs in the gym or that numerous HWs, including Arreola, haven't said he hit them harder than anyone else. This content is protected This content is protected Or that Briedis doesn't wield huge power either and didn't score a KO of the Decade contender over big tough 250lb durable HW Diamond Boy Charr No HW has come close to doing this to Diamond Boy This content is protected Can Usyk be KO'd up at HW and by AJ if he catches him right? Of course but neither Fury or AJ would be fit to lace his boots if they were the same size as him and his chin is far better P4P than either of theirs And Usyk's stamina, or at least it has been up until he decided to go down this CrossFit/bulking up nonsense route, is crazy for a big man. Even against Chisora it was impressive because let me tell you something most fighters would be blowing out of their ass trying to keep a marauding Chisora who applies constant pressure and is damn near impossible to discourage from ploughing forward off of them, and I mean even for huge punching 250lb ripped HWs, for 12 rounds, especially trying to do so in a shoe box-sized ring. It was plain to see Usyk was uncomfortable dealing with that relentless pressure and that the full extent of dealing with it had taken him by surprise and many fighters gas tanks would deplete real quickly just from the mental pressure of that alone.
Wlad, Whyte, ruiz, povetkin and pulev didn't find it hard to hit him clean Fury and usyk are really hard to hit clean
Joshua beat Fury’s sloppy seconds. Fought an inactive 41 year old who had not won a fight in 700 days going life and death with a old man is not beating him more convincingly Fury won 12 rounds, never got caught clean or even remotely hurt
Really? Joshua went life and death with Klitschko, being knocked down in the process and leaving himself there for the taking. Fury outboxed Klitschko comfortably over 12 rounds, one more round than Joshua was able to stop Klitschko, and never looked in danger whatsoever. Fury also did it in Germany, against an active, long-reigning champion. I much prefer the Joshua bout, because it was clearly a lot more entertaining. It was one of my favourite contests ever, just for the sheer drama, but it probably elicited more questions than it answered as far as Joshua goes.
AJ was a lot thinner as an amateur and is far more skilled now, the amatuers is just a learning stage.
1) Chin - Fury - 9/10 Joshua - 7/10 Usyk - Not sure because I've not seen him get hit properly at HW. 2) Power Joshua 9/10 Fury - 7/10 Usyk - 5/10 3) Right Hand Not sure what you mean. Do you mean accuracy? Power/Devestation? 4) Combos Joshua - 9/10 Usyk - 8/10 Fury - 7/10 5) Footwork Usyk - 9.5/10 Fury - 7/10 Joshua - 7/10 6) Gas Tank Fury - 10/10 Usyk - 8/10 Joshua - 5/10 7) Defence Fury - 10/10 (Insane defence really) Usyk - 8.5/10 Joshua - 7/10
Usyk showed better defense v Chisora than Fury did, Fury had to clinch on the inside, Usyk`s high guard works very well for him, Fury has been hit by a lot of shots that Usyk would have evaded.
Which fight are you referring to 1 or 2? And remember several years have past since that fight. Fury has improved. Usyk didn't do an amazing job evading Chisora. He did better than Parker and Whyte, and a decent job, but not a great one.
Knocking out the KO artist will always be better. That’s your words not mine but it seems that doesn’t apply to fury when he wins a boring points decision? You also seem to scoff at the fact that Lomachenko didn’t throw a punch for the first 6 rounds and yet Wlad barely threw a punch all fight.
out of context comment It’s all about how convincing the win is that’s what I meant. Losing several rounds and almost getting knocked out is not a convincing win at all its just raises more question marks Winning all 12 rounds is a convincing win - leaves no question marks Winning all rounds and getting the KO is a convincing win - leaves no question marks
