Good point! Overall it was marketed the right way...had the right fights and catered to the right market. It's the job of the promoters to get all of those details in tune with the event they're promoting.

Canelo vs. Mosley rivals most main events these days so I would like to see some more detailed numbers especially if it was possible to exclude that undercard.

It's pure speculation that Floyd vs Cotto did 1.5....

Folks, that is a crazy amount of sales, and if these numbers pan out to be true (Iole has a serious knack / source for getting PPV numbers correct before they become public), this certifies it as one hot event. Although you must keep in mind these numbers are not official... the 1.5 million number Iole is indicating are impressive to say the least

If the big media outlets put their names behind these numbers then they are 99% true....This includes Manny's PPV numbers as well....even though it hurts you to admit it.

This fight made $94M in PPV revenue alone. Once all the numbers are counted, it might end up being over $100M. I'm not sure if people realize how much money that is. There have only been a handful of fights in the history of the sport that have produced more PPV revenue.

Realizing it means there is no valid argument for Manny to get half.

Where are the "official numbers" for any of Floyd PPV fights? Official numbers are released to the public the same way they've always been......by the promoters who get the numbers by the networks holding the PPV event.

"Mayweather's junior middleweight title victory against Miguel Cotto on HBO PPV last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas generated a whopping 1.5 million pay-per-view buys and $94 million in domestic pay-per-view revenue, HBO Sports announced Friday."

"The 1.5 million number is actual reported numbers," Schaefer told ESPN.com. "The final number will definitely be bigger than what it is now."

Nowhere in the article does it say HBO is reporting that the fight is tracking to do 1.5M. You're simply making up your own information.
