I understand your point, but if the fight could happen in a week, I don't see Thurman being a bigger fight than Ennis. It may be more meaningful in the context you see it, but Thurman did it to himself if the fight never happens. Too inactive to warrant a fight with the top guy.
I think Errol had so many backed-up mandatories that it won't be up to Bud to say who he does and doesn't fight next; it will be either Stanniosis or Boots unless they take step-aside money or Bud decides to vacate a belt or two.
Keithy is built different. Inside and out. That's why they fear him. He brings something a little different to the dance. You can't categorize him or put him in a box. Sure he can blow hot and cold at times but if you catch him when he's hot you'll get badly burned. Best believe Crawford, Spence, Boots and the rest of the 147 pound division are aware of that. They don't want no smoke with a hot Keithy. That's why they've frozen him out and tried to kill his career with inactivity. Check out that recent video of Team Super Boots running their mouths trying to step to Keithy. He was riding solo, completely fearless like a lion, but they were only brave when they were hunting in a pack like hyenas. They had no idea how close to being on the wrong end of a game over ass whooping they were. Crawford needs to fight Super Boots next and then they can feed the winner to Keithy to knock out.
He has nothing for Crawford. Against him you need to be sharp & active to have any chance. Even Thurman's voice turned into an annoying raspy old man's. He's probably in front of his house shaking his fists at kids, get off my lawn son, and tell that youngin' Terence I would would whoop his ass if I'z wasn't retired.
