    Yes: Salido was 41-12-2 at the time of the fight. Was it a pay-per-view encounter, though?

    The closest I can recall is Valuev-Holyfield. But Holyfield had 9 losses going in (his 10th was Valuev).

    It was a low-cost, Saturday afternoon PPV in the U.S.

    Yeah...I think Duran remains the only guy to headline a PPV with 10 losses on his record. I know he headlined with Joppy, but I think that was on regular Showtime, as opposed to PPV.

    A little harsh but you're not necessarily wrong. The reason they were compelling wars was because of how limited both fighters was.

    No. I don't think he was ever close to a PPV attraction.


    If you include Closed Circuit, there are plenty - Moore, Basilio, Walcott, Cooper to name a few. Lee Savold had over 40 losses when he fought Louis on CC. It was a completely different era though when people fought more often, and records were not as significant.
