No. I don't think he was ever close to a PPV attraction. If you include Closed Circuit, there are plenty - Moore, Basilio, Walcott, Cooper to name a few. Lee Savold had over 40 losses when he fought Louis on CC. It was a completely different era though when people fought more often, and records were not as significant.
