Thank you posting this. So many people still don't understand how boxing is supposed to be scored. Looking at this with regard to last night's fight though makes the scorecards even seem more horrific. Here is my quick breakdown:

Clean Punching - Ward won every round but Round 5.
Effective Aggressiveness - Round 5 to Froch. All others to Ward. Willing to give another round or two to Froch in this category, but that's a stretch.
Ring Generalship - Again, hard to find a round other than Round 5 where Carl would win in this category, but I'm willing to assume another one or two.
Defense - Ward clearly won every round but round 5.

Despite the right man winning, two of the three scorecards are as unacceptable as Williams-Lara and many of the other questionable fights we've seen this year. This was near domination for Ward and the judges who are paid to determine the outcome were within a round of having this fight a draw. Sad.

My friend I watched the fight with and I were ****ing speechless as those scores were being read. I had it 11-1, he had it 10-2.

the last 3 rounds went to Froch, the 7th and if memory serves me the 4th. The 1st 3 were very tight. Ward was very good in themiddle rounds, and Froch did well in the later rounds, but Ward deserved the victory against an opponent he should have beat easily.

Ward won almost every round. There can be a case for round 5 and maybe, maybe for round 11. I dont call it a domination, because most of the rounds were close. However Froch had no clue and everything he did, Ward did better.

Ward gave Froch a very good boxing lesson. This is in my opinion schooling.

Ward is head and shoulders above the entire division now, while he beat every top guy, but not Bute, who fights gatekeepers.

I think it's generous to give Froch even 3 rounds in that fight.

I gave him the twelfth and that's it; he didn't deserve to win any of the others.

Anyone who thought that was close has no idea how to score a fight.

I have Froch 2 rounds. For two judges to have the fight that close just gives us even more proof that we have a serious problem.

Generally, scoring fights isn't *that* difficult and the fact we have so many judges who are horribly incompetent is shameful.
