Same as the UK. It's not for the yanks. It's for the locals so they've weakened the card, put some germans on it etc I doubt ze germans have to spend $60 either. Maybe they will part with E20 or get it on free tv.
The locals didn't bother to turn up for the last Germany show, and that was a much better card. Why are they even going back? They got banned on TV and that card is going to flop big time.
At least they got a proper main event in Okami Vs Nate something like that would make the 120 card a very good one.
So the biggest British star in the main event and a former world title challenger in the semi-main isn't enough for you?
You honestly think Bisping vs Akiyama is a main event topping card? Bisping recently beat and coming off a win over Miller the only reason he is topping the card is because he is well known. Akiyama just got beat by Leben and scraped a close win over Belcher. To me the real main event is Hardy Vs Condit. What happened to the cards where we got to see BJ, Rampage, Henderson anyone that would actually make me want to go see it live.
I think it is in the UK. They've got British stars over to the extent where I think that Bisping and Hardy are bigger draws to the casual audience than the likes of BJ, Rampage and Henderson. The success the organisation's had in selling tickets for this event is proof of that. Now would I rather see more American stars? You bet I would. But I'm a hardcore fan, and increasingly unrepresentative of the casual fanbase. As for the relative merits of the two main fights; not only do I think Bisping is a bigger star but I'm seriously hyped to see him face Akiyama. That should be an awesome fight.
Dana must really think **** about us to give us such terrible Spike cards in back to back months. I guess he figures 2 in a one month period is some kind of gift.
