Wlad should have been stepping to the side each time Mormeck rushed in. I mean, the two times Wlad hit him, Mormeck went down. Anyway, it was not all Wlad's fault with Mormeck rushing and not wanting to fight.

Like i said before, it wasn't so much the excessive clinching that made Wlad look bad in my eyes. It was the leaning and holding on the neck. You got an old talentless powerless mismatched cruiserweight in front of you, you are almost twice his size, you've got twice the speed/strength/stamina/experience....and you resort to leaning on this guy untill he falls down??? I don't mind holding a few times when you are hurt. I even don't mind leaning on the opponent sometimes when he is very dangerous. But to constantly excessively lean/hold on the neck....against Mormeck??? That's just weak. Vitali should've slapped Wlad for fighting like a *****...against ****ing Mormeck. Yes, Lewis uses the lean-tactic sometimes...against Tyson (though not that excessively in 8 rounds than Wlad in 4 against Mormeck). Ali used somewhat of that hold-tactic (more holding and not leaning)...against ATG opponents. Wlad had to use it against Mormeck atsch Maybe Wlad bought into his own PR and thought he was fighting a guy "as strong and fast as Tyson"
mormeck held just as mch as wlad u cant blame wlad solely. i dont like holding either but all boxers do it mayweather always holds when a boxer gets too close.
There is a difference between holding/clinching and leaning on the smaller opponent with all weight. The last one is disgraceful if you have Wlads many assets and are fighting against a lesser caliber opponent called Mormeck.
What was Wlad expecting, has he ever watched Mormeck before? I know he prefers slow, stationary targets who stay at long range but all he did is lean on & clinch. The 3rd round was hilarious. The crowd had every right to boo this terrible mismatch.

Haha, I think he landed about 20 of them also, it amazes me how people don't see what Mormeck was doing but blame Wlad. Wlad was blocking his chest from the head rams. Mormeck hardly threw any punches all fight.
