1927 Jack Dempsey versus 2015/16 Wlad Klitschko. Modern setting. 12 Rounds. Who do you guys think would win this fight?
Wlad has not been looking himself lately. I would normally say Klitschko without hesitating, but ... Demspey was nothing if not fast and highly explosive and Wlad's chin is still average. Right now I would not bet on this fight.
As much as I hate to say it I got to go with Wlad. Dempsey shouldn't be dismissed though, he still had some venom left but nowhere near what he had during his peak years.
It can't be a 'modern' setting for pete sakes! Absolutely! said "Man vs. Boy" (at least you had the Greb-Dempsey picture in your moniker Absolutely!) Why not a 'throw back' setting? An aging 21st century Jack against an aging 1927 Wlad? OK, in a 'modern' setting a 21st century Wlad would pummel a 1927 Jack. Will these inane ridiculous era matchups what ifs EVER cease?
