Bowe is one of the most overrated fighters of all time. Guy had skill and was hella fun to watch at times don't get me wrong but from a coache's perspective infuriating to watch. Got hit too much! I feel that would be his doom against a precision-based two-fisted powerhitter like Prime Mike or a jabbing expert with ring savvy for centuries in Holmes. It would be a clinic for the most part for Holmes but Bowe would have a few moments and most likely win a few rds though not enough for it to be competitive.
Holmes would beat Bowe going away. Larrys jab and right hand won't miss much. Bowe did not have the D to stop Larry from busting him up. Over 15 rounds Bowe gets stopped.
hard fight to pick and I go back and forth on it. I am almost to the point here where I say I don't know, but just on how great Larry Holmes was and how Bowe didn't become great, I have to say Larry. Evander gave Bowe a loss, and I would think Larry and his right hand and jab would be able to do the same. So Holmes W12 Bowe. I would rather see the 1981 Holmes vs. Bowe..
