1983 Tim Witherspoon vs. 1991 Donovan "Razor" Ruddock

    I like 'Spoon on points but anything could happen in this one.

    I give Ruddock a very good chance of catching Spoon cold, similar to how he was caught against Bonecrusher early on.

    But that was a bit of an anomaly and Tim was usually durable enough and had good defensive skills. I favor Spoon via decision in a decent fight, Spoon was a special fighter.

    Witherspoon had a huge right hand. Better than Holmes. Not as straight as Holmes, but a looping right which if landed was devastating and I think he lands it vs. Ruddock. It is Ruddock's left hook vs. Witherspoon's right. And Witherspoon was better.

    Witherspoon could take a punch better and if he connected on Ruddock, it's lights out!

    Spoon is probably favored here as a more complete fighter, but prime Ruddock was fearless, could take a hell of a punch, and had good recuperative powers. Could see this going the distance.
