My comments about tua's chin in 96 lead of to question mike's in 96 also. Either way I don't see it going beyond 6. Bruno and golota; ruiz and moorer can attest for the power on display here. I'm not sure either has the chin required in this shootout. I don't like picking against mike in a brawl which is why I give him the benefit of the doubt here but to clarify, whoever loses, will do so by murder. Just because I think mike destroys tua 6 out of 10, the other 4 I think tua destroys mike.
I'm not convinced. Tyson was well past it by 2002 but there weren't many heavies you'd have picked to beat him - obviously as much an indictment on the division as much as the man himself. Foreman's latter career was very carefully managed, if I had to make a pick I'd run with George but wouldn't be lumping on at the bookies. In 1996 I'd confidently pick Tyson.
Year 2002 Lennox Lewis, Ring Champion Wladimir Klitschko Chris Byrd David Tua Evander Holyfield John Ruiz Hasim Rahman Vitali Klitschko Kirk Johnson Mike Tyson Jameel McCline Right - how many of them tough bunch of mamma-jammas does Tyson REALLY beat in 2002?? :huh 2 or 3???
Foreman never fought anyone like Tyson. Tyson woudl probably be the hardest puncher Foremans ever fought. Unlike morrison, Tyson wouldnt be running. Foreman would be slower in the exchanges. yes he has a chance of Tyson get tired (of punching Foreman) But see the Ruddock fight, Tyson could take a punch and come back. Foreman never had the size disadvantages that Tyson had. Even in Tysons losses he took a hellacious beating. Mcbride didnt Ko Tyson, tyson just sat down and couldnt be bothered to get up. The other 4 guys who knocked Tyson out were pretty big punchers who hit Tyson hard and often. Also Douglas and Holyfield employed great footwork to keep Tyson off balance and thus nullify his power. Foreman took 20 flush hooks from morrison? Tyson took abotu 35 from Danny Williams, whos a big guy and can punch. Holyfield would let tyson miss, counter and then get out of there after landing his own blows. Douglas did the same thing, for every one tyson punch, he was throwin 4-5-6s and then moving around. Foremans footwork is ****. Tyson wouldnt have to work hard to find Foreman and the only thing he would need to worry about is Foremans power, but foreman was so slow, i dont see him landing as often as Douglas. In 1996 Tyson did slip and duck quite a lot of Holyfields punches, its just that holyfield had studied the entire book on tyson. Foremans speed is nowhere near that
Tyson didnt get stopped by anyone besides Douglas and Holyfield. The other fights he just flat out quit. Both Douglas and Holyfield pounded the **** out of Tyson one sidedly before they stopped him. Foreman could never do that. Hes was always too slow in his comeback.
