I think Tyson was a bit too fragile mentally here...He was entering the worst chaos of his ring life, where he showed little consistency and self control. Ali not going anywhere, running his mouth, holding his head down shrugging off his punches would have had Mike foaming at the mouth. Ali probably wins by DQ. I might actually bet money on it.

Who said Tyson was stronger then Ali? Certainly not mentally. And I rather doubt he was physically stronger either. Tyson stops Ali? How? Norton couldnt do it. Shavers couldnt do it. And both of these Men unloaded on Ali. Tyson falls apart the same way he did against Holyfield, 2x.
I think that I was,maybe,trying not to be too biased toward Muhammad here. Even a 1978 really faded Ali would still prove too tough for the '96 Tyson. Tyson was no longer fit to beat anyone who could last more than seven rounds or so with him. Even a badly faded,though still tough as hell,Ali could accomplish this.

When Tinfoil finds Shot Ali still fighting back hard like a WARRIOR And bossing/out-muscling him in clinches after teh 7th, he quit.
76 ali probably beats 96 tyson the 78 version dosent as much as 96 tyson had gone downhill compared to the 88 version he was still far better than leon spinks ever was .
The 220 pound Ali of the Dunn fight takes Tyson on points, and may knock him out if he's able to drain Mike with the neck yanking tactic Archie Moore credited his knockout of Foreman to. I tend to favor Ali until 1978, after Shavers put him through the bludgeon. ("Wringer" just doesn't seem appropriate to use with Earnie.)
