I had a look at kirks league last year, way too hard for me....

I got a really stupid question regarding this league n how it works....
U mentioned strategy Is the point to get as many wins as possible or is it to have the most $ by seasons end?????

N what I dont understand say for example you choose a fighter, say ranked 80 odd he has a few wins, upsets a top contender and gets a title shot at years end, say hes a middleweight n has to fight GGG.... Now u know this fighter has zero chance of winning so u wish to release/waive him.... U already have 2 boxers on your "protected" list..... Are you better off getting rid of this boxer and losing his 3-0 winning record or keeping him and take the loss and financial penalty.....
So are you better off having guys who fight say 6 x4 rounders a year to give u wins (and you can have a heap of then @ $10 000) to give u say 60 wins for the season, or are you better off having champions/top contenders or prospects who might only fight 2 times a year, cost 2-10mill each to give u say a 20-0 record....

So do rankings work on number of wins, % of wins vs losses or the greatest $ value per promoter........

What I cant work out is say u get a champion for $10Mill, he fights 3 times a year n wins all 3 by ko..... He wins what $500 000 per fight, $1mill ko bonus.... Thats $4.5 mill back (if you dont gamble with another player in the league) so are you paying for the 3-0 record if thats what counts towards rankings.....
AND if so wouldnt you be better off having say the 4 undercard fighters fighting 4-6 rounders paying only $40 000 and have record of potentially 12-0 as to 1 champion n a record of 3-0 for the season......

Thx n hope this makes sense....

I'll leave it to moparfan to explain most of it, but the way I see it.....

I think its whoever makes the most money by any means necessary, it doesn't really matter how, so if all of your guys fight and win more than mine, then you have a chance to take me out, however Top 30 guys winning pay more.

Per Post #2 in the thread:

    New BONUS:

    Per Boxrec Star Rankings:

    5 Star: $20,000,000 to promoter(s)
    4 Star: $10,000,000 to promoter(s)
    3 Star: $ 2,000,000 to promoter(s)
    2 Star: $ 500,000 to promoter(s)
    1 Star: $ 5,000 to promoter(s)

Promoter that boxer wins star match will win sub-bonus:

    5 Star: $10,000,000 to promoter(s)
    4 Star: $5,000,000 to promoter(s)
    3 Star: $2,000,000 to promoter(s)
    2 Star: $ 50,000 to promoter(s)
    1 Star: $ 10,000 to promoter(s)

If promoter has two boxers, on his roster, involved in a head-to-head 5 star match:

    Promoter wins bonus of $10,000,000***

***Promoter does not have to risk either combatant in a head-to-head match, per protective list.

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So you want both wins & highest monetary gain...I have a surprise that I am working on for both leaders (wins / money)...!!!
