Uh, my big wins won't start happening until next week. Lots of 1-star and 0-star matches up for me this week. moparfan, I just noticed you picked Alexis Santiago. I actually had him on my list of fighters, but I quickly erased him when I went back to your picks. I was actually arguing with myself whether to pick him up or not. He has a tough one against Erik Ruiz coming up. Ruiz is trained by Robert Garcia, and he only lost to very good fighters in the division. Just saying that it is a bit of a risky one.
Actually I was looking at Ruiz, but being a loser of 3 of 5 (albeit against good competition) and "Beaver" Santiago being a PBC / Haymon guy led me to pick Santiago. And Ruiz has a tendency to fight below his skill level, something that Garcia will hopefully change soon, cause Ruiz is skilled enough to make some decent noise in bantamweight...!!!

Yup, actually happy that you picked Santiago because I was frustrated whether to pick him up or not. Santiago is definitely the favorite for a reason, but I feel like Ruiz can pull an outset out of nowhere. You get a good upside due to the 2-star rating, but I just feel it's too much for the risk. One thing that led me to lean towards picking Santiago is I was watching his fight with Randy Caballero. Santiago looked like he belonged in the ring there compared to Ruiz looking clueless against Avila. I just think Roberto Garcia in the corner is worth being afraid. I hope for your sake that Santiago pulls it off, though. :good
