Greb doesn't have a win over Flowers. He lost twice and the other bout was newspaper decision which most sports editors thought Flowers won.

..........Flowers seems to be a ather forgotten middleweight great. Besides beating Greb twice, the fight he lost to Walker was supposed to be an atrocious decision. I have to admit I too am guilty of overlooking him.

The fact you listed a fat old 110% washed up felix trinidad as one of roy jones best wins is laughable

 

The fact is Louis defeated Walcott twice. Everything else is subjective interpretation. Based on rules that governed the fight Louis won, many people who saw the fight live agreed with that result, so it wasn't any kind of consensus. If you gonna use subjective interpretation, then a lot of fighters' records will be a mess and much different from how they stand now. If you gonna apply a different (modern) rule-set to scoring old fights, then you'll probably end up with McVea scoring a TKO win over Jeannette, or things like that, which is BS.

What are you talking about, what Trinidad win being one of Jones' best? I only mentioned Trinidad's name once this year, claiming his natural weight is middleweight.

 

That is not true. The whole crowd and reporters which were pro louis all disagreed with the decision, booed louis out of the ring. I have 15 rounds of the walcott-louis fight and walcott won at least 9 clear rounds. Even Louis thought he lost the fight.

Im not applying a modern standard. walcott won at least 9 rounds of the fight and most non bias reports of the fight all claimed walcott won.

I already pointed out there were many observers, including respectable sports journalists, who scored the fight for Louis. The chairman of the athletic commission also admitted, that everything was fair, Louis won in accordance with scoring system used at the time. There was no "whole crowd and all reporters", as you claim, plenty of people thought Louis won. Majority disagreed, but majorities often aren't knowledgable enough to deside the winner, they don't know the rules of scoring that are being used at the time or at all. Some NY journalists who disagreed with verdict also admitted that with the scoring system used for that fight, Louis might have won indeed, even if it wasn't fair to Walcott.

Only a person who didn't follow Trinidad's career, his interviews and everything, can claim his natural weight is welterweight. The same people are claiming Hearns was always a natural welterweight as well.

i know not many of them are world beaterws but guys like waters, little and drayton you had to be pretty special to beat them.

 

i think people just dont agree with his record becuase he is seen as fighting bums alot of the time...which he did.

it's a bit like leonards record he beats alot of the best fighters out there but you could always put holes in his record same with de la hoya may have fought the best but never fought them when they were at there best or fought them when they had just lost or when they were exposed by somone else.
