I'm not a fan of the whole Saudi take over but the fights on the next set of cards speak for themselves; Zhang vs Parker Vargas vs Ball Mark Chamberlain vs Gavin Gwynne (bit disappointed this ain't in the UK). But one potential upside could it lead to Frank having a much healthier budget for the UK cards? The magnificent 7 was my favorite whole card of 2023 and it sounds like we're getting another in March in Birmingham. If we end up having the monster fights in Saudi which let's face it I wouldn't attend anyway in the UK. Having stacked domestic cards could be a nice accidental coincidence
We can push women's boxing as a draw as much as we want but Natasha Jonas is fighting this weekend and you can buy 10 £30 tickets next to each other still. It just isn't a draw.
As long as it provides cheap content and looks good from a PR/diversity POV it doesn’t matter whether it’s a draw or not.
True. But listening to Fight Disciples (Who I like), hearing "Liverpool are coming out to support her" and nonsense like that.
I see they're considering Selhurst Park as a venue. Seems a bit odd as didn't think Riakporhe had much of a fanbase so would surely be better at Bournemouth? Of course I might be a bit biased living in Dorset
Thought they were meant to have Antwi-McGann on the same card but then saw McGann's on the Fury-Usyk card apparently?
It’s always been a lifelong dream of <insert British boxer> to fight at <insert stadium name>, home of the club he’s supported since he was a little boy/became a professional boxer and wanted to tap in to their fan base. <insert British boxer> can’t wait to bring big fight nights to <insert club name>.
