I remember a time when 300K PPV numbers were a success.
Floyd and Manny are gone guys, those 1 million PPV numbers
    are a gone as well.

Still a successful PPV and 3 times GGs best

GG could end up fighting as the opening bout on Canelos undercard if he doesn't sign soon

So whoever gets the most PPV buys is the best, right? That's what boxing now is, right? RIGHT?

    Very true

Even if we don't like to admit it, boxing fans are the hardest to satisfy

How much did Canelo get paid? You see I don't get why GGG 150k is widely considered a total flop but this is somehow "impressive".

If they charged $22 for the Canelo vs Smith fight, like they did for the Brook vs Golovkin fight, Canelo vs Smith would have done way better numbers.

Fact is Canelo doesn't have the winning combinations of skills, flair and charisma to make him the super star of the caliber of Oscar, Mayweather or Pac. He is not in that league. The only reason he did the numbers he did is because he was in Texas and Mexico is right next door. I'll bet 3/4 of his ppv's came from those two places. He is a manufactured champion and everybody sees how it is being done. That's the main reason he should have taken that GGG fight. Win of lose, a rematch would put the fight in mega fight territory. Canelo is a joke.

The Canelo/Smith numbers where as expected, whereas GGG/Lemiuex numbers was considered dissappointing cause it was. That fight should have done around
    300k.

If you ask the fans it should have done 300k. The promoters however weren't expecting that at all.
