:good thats what happened to hatton as well apart from being outclassed. Maybe this will play into pac hands because JMM might just want too take him out. Can't wait it'll be a cracking fight.

The weight won't be an issue, plenty of time to take it off.

I'm looking foward to this fight but I think it won't live up to the hype. It will be a good but not great one.

Marquez will win a decision over Pac but I'm rooting for the Pacman, because the thought of a Juan Diaz and Manny Pac fight is amazing.

I agree with several of the posters who have indicated that it should'nt be a problem for Pac to get down to 130lbs.

For this fight to be made, JMM gave the Pac team the option to chose either 130 lbs or 135 lbs. Pac choosing 130 lbs indicates to me that he can still make 130 lbs comfortably.

Weight will not be an issue for either fighter......the skills of JMM sure as hell will be!:yep :bbb

Thats right Divac. Why do you think they chose 130 instead of 135 when it seems like it would benefit Pac more at 135??

More often than not, when two fighters rise up to fight in a higher weight class, the fighter that relies more on skill benefits more than the fighter that relies more on power and aggression.

Power ratio, speed, and quickness, usually diminishes with weight gain, but skill and know how do not!

I believe that Pac camp must have talked this over and decided best to fight at 130 lbs.
Its still 4lbs north of where they fought in their first matchup!:deal :yep :bbb

    He didnt overtrain, IMO.

Marquez is a natural 126 pounder, featherweight.
130 to 135 lbs is a featherweight's "standby weight" when the fight is near.

Marquez went up to 130 lbs not because he cant go down to 126 anymore. He went up so he can face Barrera and Pacquiao, who are 130 pounders already.

    JMM's a true featherweight.

    He'll be at 128-130 come official weigh-in.

Nacho Beristein has been training World Champions for years.
No doubt the know what they're doing has far as their training regimen is concerned!

divac you're over-analyzing again, the simple reason is that pac wants to win another belt before going up to 135.

I dont think JMM's age will play a factor at all. He looked absolutely fantastic in the MAB fight, shows that if he is motivated he can really look his best. His speed hasnt gone down(that ive noticed) and his skills certainly hasnt diminished. I just think that the newer version of Pac will be too much for him. If he got away with a draw from a 1-2(literally) combo from Pac, just imagine what Pac would do when he comes in with so many new dimensions. Bodyshots, right hand, counter, better defense. It will be enough to take the win away, probably by KO.
