What exactly is the point you’re trying to make here, Mark?

Canzoneri is a great shout. Agree about Armstrong. Greatest pound for pound Fighter ever even if it all happened quite quickly.

Let me stop you there Mark. In 1938 there were 8 World Champions. Armstrong was 3 of them spanning a stone and a half. Robinson was great for longer but Armstrong is the greatest pound for pound Fighter there has ever been.

I don`t think it`s moving up in weight and winning titles that`s impressive, I believe it depends on who you beat at those weights to win those titles, and it`s a complex arguement.

If we're still talking about Armstrong then two of those three title winning victories were against legit all-time greats in Barney Ross and Lou Ambers. He proved his greatness by any measure you want to throw at it.

Yes he was, but still was most likely bettef than Canzoneri (who was it not in 3 divisons) and Ross, but at the level of Fitzsimmons about.

But two division champions are multiple weight-class title-holder as well.

That was Fenech going for a title in his 4th weight class, he was already an undefeated 3 division champion. Should have been an undefeated 4 division champion already if the judges scored it properly.

It's close between Fitzsimmons and Armstrong, for mine.

In other words he had 2 - 3 decent wins, but more loses. Fenech only lost to Nelson and was three division champion (arguable defeated every opponent he faced). He was also more exciting.

    Canzoneri beat ATG fighters in;
    Ambers
    Petrolle
    Mclarnin
    Berg
    Chocolate
If you want to put this to the test make a poll.We both know you won't!

WTF! Why am I engaging with a fool who believes Artur Grigorian is a great fighter and that Laszlo Papp is an ATG p4p?
You should have been smothered at birth!lol

As I pointed Ambers was very good (but not at his best at that time) just as Chocolate but blown and washed up, the next two were half decent too, while he lost quite more than he won and held a title for 30 days.

Well when you allege Petrolle (station) was greater than Papp and Grigorian it says more about you than anything else. Just like you recently claim Hawaii is a state of the continent North America (which means own country).

Make a poll asking whether Billy Petrolle was a great fighter on that same poll ask whether Papp and Grigorian were, and see who gets the most votes.
Are you denying Hawaii is a state of the USA , North America?
    YEs or No?
