Maybe, it'd be a shootout for sure. I'd love to see someone like Ortiz in the WW era of ten years ago, mixing it with the likes of DLH, Mosley and Trinidad :yep
He wouldn't last long that's for sure, Its easy to forget just how tough that division was back then. All the fighters you mentioned would toy with him. :yep
Nah, I just think that it would sum up his entire career. If I thought he was going to truly push on and become the don at Flyweight I wouldn't have predicted he will lose to a nobody. He gets some hype and momentum only for it to all fall apart when people start to believe in him again. He was being talked about as having the potential to become the biggest name at the lower weights since Caberajal and then he lost a bunch on the spin. Then out of nowhere he beats the absolute shite out of Solis and all of a sudden he's back to being the star in the making only to get knocked out himself not long after.
1. Floyd Mayweather Jr doesn't fight 2. Jhonny Gonzalez gets starched again 3. There are no unification fights at Flyweight
1. Jermain Taylor gets KO'd again 2. Rigondeaux beats Donaire 3. Chris John fails to fight anyone of substance
1. I hope not, doubt he'll take on too many risks anyway 2. I hope so, if it happens it's certainly a possibility 3. 100%, it's been the pattern for years.
1. Jorge Arce will retire, and as a consequence allow me to freely label him as a ''ducker'' for not manning up and getting schooled again by Mijares. 2. Nkosinathi Joyi will fight at the most twice, both in underwhelming, frustrating, career restricting fights. 3. JC Chavez Jr beats Maravilla. One of the above is included as I merely wanted an outrageous shout thrown in.
Knew you'd pipe up, my prediction remains though, he KO's Peterson then beats Mayweather if the fight happens
