    Thanks for that mate:good
Im curious to get the views of someone who isn't an av geek like myself. Im here cause my love for boxing has been renewed as a result of building a dedicated home theatre with a 9ft screen. For me, that immerses you enough in what you're watching anyway. You appreciate the sport immensely when you go that big. You can see the feints and subtle moments of a fight better. I nearly fell asleep during Avatar 3d at the cinema because it knackered me out from concentrating so much and im trying to gauge if 3d will add anything apart from the layer effect

the thing is if they were sitting several seats away it would indicate that they were in the same screen.so why would they be sitting watching a 3d film without 3d glasses, that would be stupid ?

The 3D concept is an amazing one. Ive watched the darts, footy and rugby on it, very impressive.

I could handle watching it on my own,you dont know how idiotic you're looking and will prob forget you have the specs on, but say you have friends round, or you're watching it in a bar...looking around at people wearing these specs will do nothing but annoy you.

Ha ha. I've not sampled it yet.

However the good folks here at ESB will be among the first to know when I do.

    If I do. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Anyway back to the thread topic. Boxing could be very interesting in 3D in my opinion.

I just can't figure out how 3D boxing works. How is this meant to be in 3D if the punches aren't coming at you? It's not like I'm watching them in 2D anyway. Confusing. I understand it in movies and TV shows, but for two blokes trying to punch eachother in a ring, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

“I can assure everybody that watches the fight in 3D that, at some point during the fight, Audley Harrison will land on your lap in a crumpled heap.

    Classic line.
