The Frank vs Eddie thing is unnecessary and annoying. Making out like they're sworn enemies.

As the night gets closer and more videos are appearing on social media I'm starting to really want to see Willy Hutchison get starched.

Tell you what else is annoying, giving the boxers these ridiculous character nicknames. Are they trying to be like the darts?

That may happen. Cause although he has really good boxing skills, and seems to have developed power recently, his chin looked like it was made of egg shells in his loss to Clarke.

 

Thought TNT’s collection of face-offs made them seem quite friendly a cordial. Saw a bit of DAZN build-up and it seemed a bit more ‘WWE’. No real issue with them doing 5v5, but the whole points system, captains and stuff seems a bit daft and unnecessary.

 

Some of the names like Hurricane Hatton get me when he is not even a light breeze in the ring.

 

Bob boxing already has nicknames it’s really no different from darts. You got the likes of Joshua with his initials like Michael van Gerwen mvg then you’ve got al the other creative ones

 

I don't mind the 5v5 thing, it's a gimmick to grab the casuals and get eyes on the card. Most boxing fans aren't bothered about all the shiny shiny stuff.

It's a good card still despite the main event not happening, how often can we say that when fights fall through?

 

Hearn has gone with all overseas fighters except for Richards which really shows how weak his domestic stable is. When Frank was asked who he’d like to sign from Matchroom, he could only come up with Catterall and he used to have him. The team thing is pointless cause if you’re Daniel Dubois and Hrgovic knocks you out but Queensbury win 4 fights to 1, you’re still going to be very disappointed. Winning the team competition only really matters to Frank and Eddie. Also if Wilder wins by KO and Ammo beats Sheeraz, Hearn could probably win even losing the other 3 matches. Despite this, I’m sure Warren would settle for 3 wins out of 5.

Inventing dumb new ones just to suit a particular promo is a nonsense. Does anyone really think Ray Ford will carry on his career as the “jeweller”?

I watch darts since 70s news of the world can’t remember darts giving new nicknames for a promo so not sure where the connection is tbh
