Well Floyd offered Pacquiao $40 million on the phone which Pacquiao at the time said he just wanted 50-50. So i'm guessing by their actions that the money was there.

I'm not on about Floyd getting the whole $100 million, i'm on about the fight being worth in total $100 million. Actually it probably would of been worth more when you bring in PPV etc.

**** Floyd and Pac. They both can suck my balls. They both ruined a potentially great fight. They can both go to boxing hell.

Nobody knows the exact amount, but you can make an educated guess.

Floyd's terms were, $40m for Manny, but he wanted the entire PPV revenue for himself. Obviously the promoters etc have to take a cut. But Floyd's own fight with Oscar generated $120m in PPV.

Now I think it's safe to assume that a fight between Manny and Floyd would easily have surpassed the $120m generated with Oscar in 2007.

Realistically it could have been anywhere from $120m - $150m +

So had the fight been made, it's more than possible that Floyd could have made the 100. But obviously Manny wasn't going to agree to the 40, to make Floyd that obscene amount. It was ridiculous. Why should Floyd make more than double what Manny would get? He knew full well that Manny would turn down the offer. Anybody would have done in Manny's position. It was an insult to Manny. But the whole thing gave Floyd the chance to say that he'd tried to make the fight by making the offer.

It was a ridiculous offer but c'mon it was 2012. Pac had the chance at a MUCH MUCH better off 2 years prior to that and he walked from the table.

Only after he lost- he changed his stance and agreed to the fight. Cash out maybe?

Yeah, the distributor and the promoters take more than half I'm pretty sure. It's literally impossible for a fighter to get all of the PPV share since the distributors need to get paid.

The whole thing is a circus!

I've been reading up on and everything that has happened in the last 3 years, and there's interviews and videos just full of contradictions. That's both of the fighters, and Schaeffer and Arum etc. It's a joke.

Floyd would never have gotten $100m, because Manny would never have agreed to it. BUT, if he HAD have done, then Floyd could definitely have made that.

The PPV price would have been a lot higher than the Floyd vs De la Hoya fight, and it would have gone out to more households.

Read this that I've just come across.

It says that relaistically the fight could have generated nearly $300m!!

So Floyd could have made a profit of a $100m, but again, Manny would never have agreed to take the fight with no PPV split.

That's right. Floyd obviously meant that he wanted the entire PPV revenue, that was left after the promoters etc, had taken their cut.

But if the fight could generate in the region of up to $300M, (that was predicted, based on rough calculations) it's safe to assume that Floyd could have made $100m, had Manny agreed to no percentage of the PPV.
But there's not much point in debating it really, because Manny obviously wasn't going to accept a deal with no PPV percentage.

I agree mate. It's all horse****. Then Arum even went as far to say we'll give Floyd the bigger share if he will move the fight back to June (knowing full well Mayweather was going to jail late May)
    :-(

So what you are saying is it wasnt a 100 mil dollar fight for Floyd since Manny would agree ? The only was the fight made since for Floyd is if Manny would agree to take the 40 mil. Floyd made a ridiculous amount of Moaney fighting Cotto without going through half the BS and having to deal with Arum

The expectations and anticipation for this fight reached a fever pitch in 2010 but I don't believe this fight would have done much more than Mayweather/De la hoya, at least in terms of ppv. 300 million seems a little over the top.

I think that I am the only one that believes that this fight will still happen for the following reasons(at least I still want it to happen at the right time):

-Pacquiao will find a way to redeem himself, i.e. beat Bradley(officially), or beat Marquez...I mean it was just a lucky punch to some fans.

-Mayweather will show more signs of slippage against Guerrero in a closer than expected fight.

-The risk/reward ratio for Al Haymon(the real mastermind behind Floyds career) will fit into his formula.

-Floyds ego will be satisfied knowing that he will indeed get the lions share of this fight.

-Pacquiao will give in to all testing demands.

-Pacquaio will still believe that he can beat Mayweather because of Floyd's perceived reluctance to fight him.

-Floyd/Pacquiao can still make the most fighting each other rather than any other opponents.

-Styles make fights and Mayweather does NOT have Marquez style.

-There is still some mystery in this fight as the best Manny Pacquiao will show up for this fight.
