Arreola and Ray Austin would beat them both.

Thing is you never know what you got Maurice Harris.... He often lost fights he should have won, but at his peak I think he handles the limited Arreola fairly easily. Austin in his prime may have been a stiff test though, no question. But a winnable fight nonetheless. Harris had a lot of talent. No way Arreola beats Nielsen, that's ridiculous. Austin would have been a good s**** though.

Read the bit on Harris in From Fightin' to Writin': More Ring Ramblings by Thomas Gerbasi. Steward goes in length about Harris' abilities, mentioning he had more natural talent than either Grant or Ibeabuchi... Steward worked extensively with Harris, as he was Lennox's favorite and most used sparring partner. Harris clearly had talent, despite his weak chin and inconsistency. More than enough to beat someone like Arreola, and Austin on a good night.

It would be like Ali-Berbick....fairly close at times, then the odometer would take over, with Stiverne just too young, too strong and outhustling a flabby, Bartlett pear looking Holmes for a decision win.

I won't credit Bermane Stiverne as being a man of boundless talented. In a strong era, he'd be a fringe contender at best and in some perhaps not even that. But Larry Holmes looked positively terrible against Butterbean. Of course this can't be held too harshly against him as he was 52 years of age and had only seen one fight in three years.. But honestly, any half way respectable professional would have beaten him that evening, including some of the journeyman who were around at the time..
