51 year old Razor Ruddock knocked out in comeback fight

Pretty awful to see these broke boxers being forced to "come back" to fight for tiny purses and risk their health. Why can't they live within their means and simply save money for their retirement?

 

Yep. He's being boxed in to fight Wawrzyk.

 

Was there. He got brutally KOed... Hopefully his career ended last night.

 

Holding any formal title one has to be formidable on some level..he went for it at 51,thats basically it!doubtful he will return unless its small fights with decent paydays!

 

If Ruddock stays around he should only fight guys like Danny Williams, Botha and other washed up heavies from a bygone era. He might beat Danny, but I think even old Botha might do him in.

 

sad my favorite fighetr of the 90s ...but at 50 plus way to dangerous i remember earnie shavers fighting at age 50 and getting blasted by journeyman brian yates ,,,,,,its a young mans sport

 

So watched that on Youtube... Sad. Shavers was taking it to him, and had the 1st and almost 2nd banked before trading shots with him.
