Take Fury from the 3rd Wilder fight, and take Ali from Thrilla and Manilla, who both did not choose to box but slug. Who takes it?
I'm going to bite and say Ali loses by decision. Ali gets dropped, lateish on and gets dropped heavily. But Fury is knackered at the end too.
Does the result change if its changed to a 15 rounder? This may be a little unfair to Fury but I can see this altering the way they slug early.
Fury wins a very close decision. He'd know he'd been in a fight, though. If it were the Ali of just one year earlier in Zaire,I'd say Muhammad wins it albeit closely.
As Mike Tyson said: Ali would take you into deep water [during the championship rounds] and then drown you!
I think Ali was forced to slug it out with Frazier since Joe was a truly great inside fighter who was a master at cutting the ring off in order to beat the crap out of his opponents or make them fight a war. Fury fought nothing like Frazier, and Ali would never let such a giant man get so close to him like wilder. He would fully realise that boxing such a behemoth at close quarters is a futile taskā¦Ali would instead use his most tried & trusted tactic of stick & move, simple as that, and i think Ali was still good enough to outpoint the giant. Ali after the thrilla in Manilla ? He would probably lose.
Yes it probably could if the fight went longer. Ali probably conserves energy and stop s a weary Fury.
Fury, and quite easy. I'd pick Fury to beat any version of Ali, let alone the Ali that went life and death with the puny Frazier.
fury cant be dropped by ali but this ali was real tough for taking damage but cant move great like he used to he is in a felloff state here fury is akward still so gives him problems and uses his weight better then anybody ali fought and fury is not dumb enough to waste punches like George fury is also a great counter puncher when seeing the person misses a wild shot fury wins this
I argee but not on the easy part ali never fought anybody who was as akward and a master at using their weight like fury
