Since 88 Tyson was with Don King, I guess he'd be WBA champ. The other champs would not fight him. That's just the way the business is these days. They would claim that they want to unify but his demands are unreasonable, they don't want to deal with King, etc. Tyson's side will say that the same thing. Everybody would be happy taking easy defenses. Unification fights would only occur if someone they definitely can beat grabs one of the other belts.

Tyson was entertaining and explosive, and a GOOD fighter, but come on... who the heck did he ever beat?
Spinks? A light-heavyweight who just got blitzed and caught off-guard?
    A way-over-the-hill Larry Holmes?
I just wonder if the Frank Bruno fight might've been his best. Hardly a top-ten-fighter-ever achievement, is it?

Now, he would've struggled with (and lost to) both the Klitschkos, and had a really hard time with Haye's movement.
Still: That man would ALWAYS have a puncher's chance.

I don't think so, 88 Tyson beats em all, and I'd say Bruno, Thomas, Tucker, Spinks and Holmes all beat Povetkin and Chagaev. Can't really judge Adamek or Haye yetso I'll leave them be for now. As for the Klits, 38 yrold Vitali gets stopped by Tyson, and would have difficault fights with Holmes, Spinks, Tucker and Bruno, As for Wlad he loses to Tyson but likely beats everyone else BUT Bruno and Tucker could definitely KO him.

You could make the same Argument against Holmes, Lewis, Wlad and most of all Vitali as he hasn't beaten anyone decent. Furthermore anyone who thinks Haye would've given Tyson problems is off thier rocker. Vitali at 38 would not beat a prime Tyson and I doubt in his prime he would able to do it, as for Wlad all one has to do is look at his past struggles with agressive punchers toknow that he likely gets KO'd in brutal fashion.

Wlad would jab the living **** outta Tyson & earn his respect with the right hand & left hook. Mike was very fast, but he'd need to be just to get into landing distance. Today's version of Wlad KO's Mike late in the fight.

    Totally ON my rocker, sir.

Haye is a completely different breed than anyone Tyson met in his prime. Fast, insanely athletic, light on his feet, clever... Mind you, I'm not saying Haye would win, but I just can't see Tyson steamrolling him like all of those big, lumbering bums he used to fight.
The Klitschkos have met some mediocre resistance, yes, but just look how they've dominated their opponents. No split decisions there in a long while, just utter ring control, battering everyone into submission. You think 5'10" Tyson could hit them easily? With the experience they have now? I doubt it.

You're right about Holmes. Poor guy, he didn't get to prove himself... but you'd have to be off your rocker to question Lewis' record, though. If nothing else, beating Holyfield twice (yep) should be sufficient. No?

But saying that you could make similar arguments against other fighters still doesn't help Tyson's case. He was very talented, but way too hyped for his own good. He was just the flashiest, most intense boxer out there - and in most cases, the people who think he was the best ever, are the ones who don't know all that much about boxing.
It's like us kids who grew up in the 80s: we really thought the Lamborghini Countach was the best car ever.

Undefeated. Mike anhiliates everybody in the division.
That includes the two chinny punchers, Wladimir, and Haye.
    Vitali would be outclassed.

Peter made Wlad freeze, the same Peter that Vitali at age 37 after a 4 year lay off easily beat with ZERO problems, Wlad wouldn't beat a peak Tyson, hell I'm not even sure he would beat the Tyson that Lewis beat.

PFFFFFTTT!! YEA! OOOKAY!! wlad "im scared to death of anyone that can crack" klistchko would get knocked out from sheer intimidation alone, you really think the 6'6 baby WOULDNT be afraid of the one of the most relentless, fastest and hardest hitting pressure fighters that ever stepped in the ring?? thats like saying golota is above nut shots. vitali is the only HW today with a realistic chance THAT i agree on. but wlad??? no, just....no

Haye wouldn't have dared moved to Heavy........and Tyson would have wiped the floor with anyone not named Klitschko, as much as I love Wlad Tyson would catch him..........and Vitali maybe. You have to remember every heavy fighting today looks like slow motion compared to his hand speed. Great chin.........KO power BOTH hands......and makes Sanders look slow. :think

Out of the current crop, Vitali is the only h2h matchup that would ever worry him.

And curent Vitali is past it.

    So, Tyson becomes champ.
