It's hard to say because there's always a style that is what vinegar is to water. But Roberto Duran was a ****in' PROBLEM in his day Just an incredible blend of skill, ferocity and a MASSIVE chip on his shoulder that translated in to his relentless style of fighting. He was a major bad ass back in the day and there were not many who could over come what he brought to the table on his best day.
Yeah man ... I would say he is the only fighter I have watched in the moment (not just on film) that I can say w/o a doubt is more skilled than Floyd I could throw SRL and Rigo in there, but they get hit often, which is why I can't say, A prime Toney as well. RJJ never had crazy skills to me .... he just was an exceptional talent that I have yet to see duplicated. BTW on the video: 0:35 - Roger Mayweather got streched 1:20 - Best check hook, which resulted in a knockdown, I have ever seen (Floyd checkhhok of Hatton 2nd) 1:25 - 1:30 & 2:38 - 2:42 - He had a young prime ODLH lookign quite foolish 2:20 - 2:30 No words for the defense skills
Well there is always a weakness in every style In order to become 'elite' or great you must adapt So a boxing brain and ring smarts is very important - this is evident in most great fighters
