Wilder fast tracking himself to Boxing's Hall of Shame Wall positioned in the number 1 slot just above Toe Haye
Not trying to defend but you could write a thick about fighters with excuses why they lost. Foreman had a poor resume but waxed two fighters tailor made for him, both fighters are of significant historical importance but they were still made to order for him until he ran into old Ali. He did not win a round while whaling away rather amateurish until going down , he was completely out classed similar to what happened to Wilder after the first knock down and blamed the ropes the water some magic voodoo, you name it and he stuck to it for decades. Champion make a name for them selfes when they come back from defeat, Foreman/tTyson/Holyfield/Bowe/Lewsi etc etc did it and Wilder will do the same.
When asked about Wilder's excuse, Sugar Hill said Fury had all sorts of injury problems throughout camp but wouldn't use them as an excuse.
Hope Wilder uses Whyte as a tune up to the Fury rematch. Whyte laughing etc. Fact is, he’s slow, cumbersome, and whilst he’d probably win rounds, he’d get wiped clean out half way through. Whyte is the same pudding who lost to Chisora in the first fight and his mate Eddie had to dig deep to find some change for the judges.
Wilder isn’t interesting in beating anyone , look at his career/resume ffs - he’s taking the money, cashing out and running.
To be fair, he was unlucky with the Povetkin fight. That was out of his hands but he wanted the fight.
Uh-oh, this will upset our resident Whyte specialist. I was thinking the same, imagine if Whyte got sparked out by Pov next fight after all this fake laughing bull****
Haha. They’ve picked Povetkin for a reason unfortunately...great name but old and very past his best. No mention of Hunter though who got jobbed on the cards imo against Povetkin.
Yep i thought hunter won that aswell.Povetkin is a bonafide journeyman at this stage and really is only in it for the money now.I shall be giving this a wide berth.
He’s still a threat I think, but only for the first few rounds. Whyte is bigging him up but seemingly lacks this awareness that his great rival ‘Anthony Joshua’ as already chinned him. What exactly does this fight prove when he chins him, too? There are several other fighters I’d have rather have seen Whyte in with rather than 41 year old Povetkin.
Wilder's team would be complete idiots not to accept the stepaside money. Take the money, take some time out, have a tune up and then fight for the undisputed and earn more than the trilogy fight. Seriously, if they turn that offer down, they are completely stupid and delusional.
