its sad in this day and time, a guy gets praised for losing 10 of 12 rounds and 11 of 12 rounds....and landing 72 punches over 12 rounds....sorry no credit for that i will give credit for coming to germany and walking through that bull**** he had to walk through...showing up at the post fight press conference and finally shaking hands.....
Good input. After reading so many posts slamming Haye, I think some are either overwhelmed with unfair emotion towards him, or they saw a different fight than I did. Being a Wlad fan, I gotta openly admit that Haye was the most competitive fight Wlad has been in since Peter I, without question.
Who in his right mind would want to see a rematch, let alone pay for it. Expect a better fight against Adamek.
I thought it was quite competitive, and even though people on this site find it boring, I didn't. I'd watch a rematch.
I don't think that either was ever hurt badly in that fight. However, if anyone was hurt in the 12th... I would say that it was Haye at the 1:50 mark of the 12th round in this video. Watch after Wlad lands that right hand... Haye's left leg locks out and he immediately looks unsteady and backing up. I am not sure if he was hurt... but that is a much better case than Wlad being hurt. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Su94I7ZKQ4Y[/ame]
The general consensus is that Wlad was hurt during that barrage of punches, you are actually in the minority of people who think Wlad wasnt hurt. You dont have to wobble to be hurt, wlad looked disorganised and desperate to hold on during the aftermath, it was a tatical clinch, but one that allowed him to clear his head before going back to work. That is the definition of being hurt, its not like he was on ***** street or anything.
I am a realistic Wlad fan. And I call em like I see em. He held Haye by the neck and rode him around the ring for a full lap or two yes, because the first that caught him was enough to stun him and put him in a very defensive *I can't take another of those til I recover a bit* mindset. Then he then proceeded to tie Haye up and ride him around the ring, while the ref did nothing but watch in amazement and follow them around. :blood
****ing hell mate. Youre seeing what you want to see. Maybe if you took your eyes off of Wlad for a second you might actually appreciate the work of his opponent
I see the Hayelords are starting to reappear and make excuse's. The admirable thing to do when your wrong is to hold your hands up and admit you were wrong. This group ego massaging isn't the way to win people over. The fight was most certainly not competitive, one man was in control, the other desperate.Whilst Haye landed a few of his Hayemakers on Wlad,he was never hanging on about to be KO'd. The fight proved that Haye was overmatched, and only had the hope of one of his wild looping punches doing some damage which it clearly didn't.He was outboxed pure and simple.
Rooster, Rawling on sky said Wlad was hurt in the 12th (he also said Haye was) which is why people think he was. Not sure what rtl or hbo said.. He got hit and held because Manny had told him to, he knew Haye was going to lunge in and throw his wild punches and that's what Haye did try! I noticed those shots aimed at the back of the head Mr Haye!!!! The backlash against Haye is not because of what happened in the fight, it's because of Haye's mouth over the last 3 years. If he was quiet and humble like Adamek, he would not be feeling the backlash he is. The Brit press are hammering him.
Oh sorry i forgot of course Wladimir the Great can do no wrong, jesus christ would it hurt to admit that Haye actually hurt your hero or that Wlads clinching can get excessive, instead of coming up with a lame insult why dont you try and explain why im wrong.:smoke
If Haye hurt Wlad, why on earth would I care to admit it? I have never had a problem admitting when Wlad was hurt before, and it isn't like we have never seen it happen. You bums are just trying to hold onto something that isn't there. If you had the ability to read you would see that I clearly already proved what you are saying is wrong. You fail to rebuttal what I put forth.
Saw the refs mindset in the 12th when he thought Vlad had been caught, he let Vlad hold Haye for a full 13 secs, Vlad then threw Haye to the ground... Pathetic reffing.
