    In recent years, I'd say.......

Sergio Martinez in the 1st matchup with Paul Williams.

    Malignaggi vs Cotto

    Maidana vs Khan

    good thread.

kassim ouma vs jermain taylor. ouma looked like a man possessed. he lost, but he put up one hell of a challenge. he got my respect that night.

jeff lacy vs joe calzaghe. lacy was one of the few american's to talk **** AND put his money were his mouth was. he didn't avoid like the rest of his fellow country men, no, he came to bring it. calzaghe took his soul, and ruined his career, but he took his beating like a man. he got my respect for that.

and of cause (someone has already mentioned) malignaggi vs cotto. his face ended up looking like a swollen balloon, but, he stuck in there and gave a very good account of himself. you can't help but respect that.

Shannon Briggs vs Vitali - how the **** he managed to go 12 rounds I'll never know.
Darren Barker & Matthew Macklin vs Sergio Martinez - Both put up great fights but were just outclassed towards the end.

JMM definitely after the most recent "loss" to Pac.

Bute as of late as well.

A local fighter called John Simpson was robbed against Dazzo Williams a few tears back. He's fallen short a few times but since that fight he's always been great entertainment.
John Mugabi is a prime example, and I became a huge fan of Razor Ruddock after he fought Tyson.

Which Dunne loss made him go up in your estimation, IE6?
