Some decent scraps, nice to see Michael Watson in the crowd and then a good chat with Buncey at Tower Hill after!

A shame Colin Lynes wasn't given the nod against El Maachi. I thought Lynes had that one.

Yeah Lynes could of got it but Sky's commentary ruined the fight. I know we moan alot and sometimes people just like to moan for sake of it but that fight it was like Lynes had his own personal channel.

I felt Yassine deserved the win i felt Lynes tried to shoeshine his way to victory and El Maachi's shots looked to be flung with intent rather then pat pat pat then grab which Lynes iniated a fair bit as well as rabbit punching. Not saying El Maachi was an angel in there cos he was far from it.

Tough fight to score but glad Yassine got the win. Plus Colin's had his time i want to see the young lads come through and have there chance so it's not all bad.

I actually gave it to Lynes too, even though I picked EM I thought Lynes just pinched the second and third.

The commentary was a total disgrace though, so it was the one time where I was kind of happy to see the other guy win. Felt a bit for Lynes, but it was close enough not to be unreasonable anyway, but to see sky pissed off was great.

Yeah I'm not one for all the "sack <whichever Sky commentator has been on that week>" threads which pop up, but that was really poor calling of a close 3 rounds. Just call the action and we'll make our own minds up.

lol....Lynes was hugging, grabbing ALL the friggin time & the sky commentators have the nerve of saying yassine el maachi was making it an ugly fight.

Glad justice was served at the end & the judges never paid attention to the sky cheerleaders!

I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but I thought Lynes won that fight comfortably and used the right tactics. I honestly thought it was clear cut for Lynes.

Have to go back and watch it..

I thought it was clearly 1-1 and El Maachi landed more and bigger
punches in the last. Was close though.

I had Lynes winning that one, but was glad to see Maachi go on to win.

Thought Witter was too cocky when being interviewed (too cocky for me to support him lol) Maachi all the way! :)

Feel bad for Lynes tho, he should have been in the final!

I thought Yassine won but it was close no doubt but they were already halfway through the 3rd talking about how proud they were of him and how he would have reached the final twice and how everyone loves him in the game etcetc basically like it was a foregone conclusion.

i really thought that lynes won im very surprised that EM went through. Glad he did though becaues i had a cheeky wager on him. The final was hilarious my casual mate was laughing his head off at witter flying out of the ring and couldnt comprehend all the pushdowns.

Was hard to find anyone in the York Hall last night who thought Yassine won the fight.

Sky were really at their best in the Lynes / El Maachi fight. They either really hated El Maachi or had some money on Lynes. I thought that Lynes actually won, but was very pleased with the result.

The final was great. What a horrible display of boxing, but very funny to watch.

Yassine would throw a big shot and Lynes would throw 3 or 4 terribly inaccurate shots and clinch. I prefer to score the cleaner more damaging shots in this case.
