I'm sure Ricky doesn't want to chance a fight with Witter who is pretty fast, slick and has good reflexes....Witter is no Floyd but the style is one that can present some issues in the ring for a fighter like ricky. However...I think what I mentioned is only half of why he doesn't want to square off against Witter or chooses to disregard him completely....

I honestly feel that all that trash talk and harsh words gave Ricky some feelings of resentment and doesn't want to give Junior any opportunity to make a name for himself....or at least not by beating one of Manchesters finest. Whether it be wrong or right Hatton holds the cards in the UK and witter will have to suck up or continue to win until Ricky has to fight him.

Really? I'm wouldn't call myself a hatton fan, but he doesn't seem to be one who is a *****....his actions or lack there of may say otherwise but there has always been some anomosity between witter and hatton even before hatton was a "NAME". ANd Witter has ALWAYS shitted on Hatton with very little response going back. Maybe he is a bit cautious b/c he isn't confident of how a fight with witter would go.....but there is no way he had more confidence going in there with floyd Mayweather than he would if Witter and him ever got it together to make a fight for British fans.

ricky got put in his place. his nuthuggers may still love him...thats what nuthuggers usually do....but to the rest of the boxing public he has been exposed as a boring, somewhat dirty fighter with a blown up record but limited talent.

guess its back to fighting some stiffs for the WBU belt....

Seriously, having won all the belts at one time or another doesn't mean you don't have to defend them against primo challengers every now and again, avoiding doing so is presumably why he was stripped of them in the first place.
