Ruddock had one punch KO power Qawi didn`t, who the hell did Qawi beat at heavyweight? Qawi never cracked the top 10 at heavyweight.

At least Qawi went distance with Holyfield something Tyson could not ever do and Ruddock too.

In the early 20th century theres quite a few tbh. Duration LHW champ Bivins, Moore and probably Lloyd Marshall would have beaten Tyson. John Henry Lewis would have destroyed him as would LHW Braddock. Langford would win quite easily too. I wouldn't favor LHW Ezzard Charles but he has a good chance.

The 1910s and 1920s golden generation was notoriously tough to knock out and that is essential for Tyson. Miske drew Fulton. Tunney beat Dempsey. Loughran, Gibbons, Dillon, Levinsky and Greb were all very difficult to knock down. Clay Turner and Norfolk could put on fun fights. Even earlier Schreck and Root were very punchy for being that small and while I don't think they could beat Tyson I do think they could put up an admirable effort. To make it clear I'm favoring Tunney, Loughran, Miske and Gibbons here not the rest but the rest would have a chance and wouldn't do bad. I wouldn't be surprised if Greb 10-0d Tyson but also wouldn't be surprised if he got knocked out right away.

Then theres Fitzsimmons who would lose to Tyson 9/10 times but that 1 time would be bad.

In late 20th and 21st century I'm not picking anyone except Moorer and maybe Beterbiev but quite a few could have success. The win over Spinks keeps me from picking someone like Foster or Tarver. Can't pick RJJ after seeing them fight in their 50s.

Sorry, but I`ve studied many Tyson fights and his speed and skill were insane, he was an amazing combo puncher, I simply feel you haven`t seen his fights from 85-88.

No way did any of the fighters you mention fight anyone with Tyson`s hand speed and power, plus Tyson took Ruddock`s best shots who had more power and reach than any of the fighters you mention here.

What does a decent showing against an '88 Tyson look like?

If it's just a case of getting further than Spinks, then a good many might last a little longer than 91 seconds.

But, if we're talking about a meaningful performance, it's quite unlikely any LHW does well. Tyson at his 'catch and kill' best would not be denied for too long and then plow through physically over-matched opponents like a hot knife in butter.
