Just one problem. Castillo showed up to win. Shane showed up to collect a check. TRUE or FALSE

Even if you think Floyd lost, you have to give him credit for immediately giving Castillo a rematch. They went at it again only 8 months later. Some guys don't want any part of the guy who gave them hell. Pac avoided Marquez for 3 damn years. Did Lewis show any interest in fighting Vitali again? Do you hear Paul Williams telling reporters he's eager to give Lara rematch?

Fans are so quick to point their fingers at referees and judges, as they should. But fighters who benefit from gift/controversial decisions are being overlooked. They should be held accountable. If they're adamant about not having a rematch - the question has to be asked: WHY? After a controversial match the one thing all fans can agree on is a rematch. Fighters who walk away should be thrown under the bus for not making an attempt to resolve the issue and not giving the majority of fans what they want.

After a few long minutes of anticipation, announcer Michael Buffer read the verdict of the three ringside judges.

But guys like Jesus Chavez, who lost via TKO to Mayweather last fall, clearly had Castillo retaining his title.

"I think Jose Luis Castillo did an absolutely outstanding job of boxing out there against Floyd," said Chavez, shortly after the verdict wasannounced, "and I think that he should have given him the decision. Unfortunately, the judges didn't see it that way and they gave it to Floyd."

And former two-time WBC lightweight champion Stevie Johnston, who had earlier in the night defeated Alejandro Gonzalez and had two tough bouts against Castillo himself, was even more emphatic in his judgment of the bout.

"Castillo!!!" exclaimed 'Lil' But Bad' when asked who he had winning at the post-fight presser. "He made Floyd run, that's what I saw."

It's evident that while Mayweather got the decision, it was Castillo who's stock rose on this night.

Floyd did win the 2nd fight...FACT!!

BUt that does not constitute him losing the first fight. It's nice he gave him a rematch and all....but he lost the first one clearly. Castillo outlanded him, outhustled him, outworked floyd not to mention the fact that castillo was the champion. Floyd as a challenger should convincingly beat castillo in order to win that belt......he did not.

Clear 8-4 to castillo, maybe 7-5 if you give one of the other closer rounds to floyd..

Williams rematched Martinez, and got ktfo.......does that erase the fact that martinez has a LOSS in his record, even though he won that fight (IMO). That fight was close....PBF-castillo 1 was not, floyd got an undeserve win in his record.

The first one was close no doubt I had floyd winning a close decision but I remember thinking at the time if he lost I wouldnt be mad!

Now he got the decision and when Merchant starting giving him his usual crap he said "if he wants a rematch we'll give him a rematch" that was IMMEDIATELY in the ring so no HBO didnt force the rematch and Floyd manned up straight away and faught him again.

The second time proved to all doubters who the better man was.

I guess when your idol is Manny Pacquiao you got to try and throw dirt on Floyd somehow!

As a fan, I had it the same way. Couple of swing rounds in the fight that could have gone either way. Really, I'm not going to complain with anyone who has about a two point margin either way.

I think most of the uproar stems from the fact that the scores were one sided rather than with the fact that Mayweather actually won.

But was considered a clearer win for Floyd.

I thought Castillo/Floyd 1 was razor close. This forum throws around the word "robbery" too often.
