true, this is a HBO or SHO fight BUT it will be fun watching canelo beat the sh!t out of angulo. 2 totally different levels, no matter what the clowns say canelo is a ELITE fighter and angulo is a C+ fighter who is getting stretched within 5 rounds
kid, these so called "stamina issues" are a myth. how does he have stamina issues??? against trout he fought defensively which means his output was very calculated and when he did throw he threw with power. some people (op) truly dont know this sport at all. they think cause someone is fightie fng a certain way they jump on what clueless people say. when has he been exhausted in any fight after "6 rounds" i would love to see that one.. stamina issues, true stamina issues is martinez.. he fades and getse wicked weak towards the end of tough fights
What makes him elite? One good win over Trout in a very close fight. His 2nd best win shot and undersized Mosley, whom he never dropped
Alvarez is ONE win away from people forgetting about last Sept. GBP's will sell this fight well, The build up will be good & the undercard will be stacked. The fight itself will be a change of pace compared to Canelo's last couple of opponents this should give Alvarez a chance to show his goods. I imagine the fight going similar to the Mosley fight. (Same outcome)
Agreed, BUT SHO needs to recoup some of that Mayweather money so they will drain us by putting this one on PPV. Stacking the card might help it, But Alvarez will sell. Maybe adding Mares/Gonzalez II (Not sure if Mares will be ready in time)
another plus for Angulo is that no one really pressures Canelo out of his comfort style of fighting. Canelo never pushes himself to explode combinations and he stills gets gassed :rofl
You can't deny the fact that Canelo never explodes with combinations in a fight. He looked so bad against Mayweather that it was even worse than "No Más". He dropped his hands and almost literally said: i'm tired and won't even try to defend myself.
PPV with a tailor made opponent. Sounds like great work if you can get it. Regrdless of what type of historical impact Canelo makes on this sport, one thing is undenyable. The guy will make a great deal of money. Possibly the most of his generation/contemporaries.
