    you can to an extent, if a fighter turns up looking chubby thats not the sign of a perfect camp, if a fighter looks ripped generally they're in good shape, not the be all and end all in a fight but a good indicator of training regimen

    Actually you can. It's not an exact science but it is as good an indication as any for the fans.

    Even fighters like Carl Froch, when they look that little bit more ripped you can tell they are in better shape than ever even though he's still officially 168 pounds. An extra 5 or 6 pounds and you could tell Lennox wasn't as dedicated as usual and it often showed.
