Mora is a solid analyst, as most fighters are. I have no issues with former fighters on comms, even if I don’t always agree with their viewpoint. Grisham and Mannix are pure American cheese though. In this modern age of dumbing stuff down for social media and engagement this is the sort of low brow garbage you get used to being fed. Really makes you miss the good old days of HBO and Showtime. don’t even get me started on the horror show that is the “reaction cam”. Grow the hell up.
agree. Former champs? I always want to hear what they have to say about a fight, a matchup, etc. one I’d like to see give it a try is Tyson Fury. Biggest personality of his era, very much knows boxing, a quick talker and pretty funny, etc. given some freedom to do it as he sees fit, he might actually be pretty good. I see AJ always in front of a mic at the big fights. I get it. He’s well spoken, he’s polite, brits love him, he’s a former champ, etc. he’s a safe choice. Need to buy a bit of time, hand him a mic, pretty easy. But Fury has the potential to be way more entertaining.
I just watch the fights. I don't worry about the network employees. The HBO crew was just as bad when it came.to a house fighter.
