Research the past so I can appreciate the present. Really is that simple.

My first ever ATG list was

    Robinson
    Leonard
    Ali
    Johnson
    Mayweather

Clearly I had to learn about the sport to sort that **** right out.

I think today's sport is the best it has ever been both in terms of fighter quality and the experience for the fan. This is the best of all possible worlds.

    You must be new!

The so called "best ever!" takes VACATIONS when the division hots up (not to mention he fights guys past their best), the amount of world titles per division is RIDICULOUS as it we hardly see unifications, the best of the divisions are scared to travel (Ward) and actual unified champs are picking cherries (Garcia).

It's far from the best time at all.

This is absolutely the best of times!

This year alone, I've been watching more live boxing on free TV, than I did during the ENTIRE decades of the 60's and 70s - COMBINED!

And another thing... why is it necessary to hate modern boxing to appreciate the old-timers? Can we not marvel at the boxing clinic Rigondeaux put on against Donaire... and at the same time be passionate about Gans, Greb, Langford, etc.? Can we not enjoy watching some of today's best fighters, such as Gonzalez, Lomachenko, Golovkin, Kovalev... without being labeled a newcomer, who knows nothing? Hmm... I guess not!

It's not, man. You just got bored about things you used to love when you were younger.

I think the game is far from being the best ever!

It is improving, but it still has a long way to go.

Foremost, a division can not have a Champion if it 4 of them!

Titles need to be won or lost in the ring not in some banana republic santionin organization's boardroom!

Fighters need to fight, not annually! Inactivitiy should be a more glaring blemish. Fighters win and lose, but they fight.

theres some good fighters around now. Its just hard to get back inti it for some. You get older, loss interest after the years go by, but I still love the fights, trying to watch more. I do see some guys I'd like to follow, but at my age, I forget their names by time the fight ends!lol
