    No.

What I am saying is that Chavez, much like Mayweather, received an assist to keep their padded records.

In this case the an obvious TKO is good enough to give Chavez the benefit!

I didnt think Taylor looked good in any of his welter fights, aside from the Davis one where I dont think he looked brilliant either but a good win over a decent fighter nonetheless.

He got the job done and looked pretty impressive early but even though it was a solid and often underrated win I think Davis matched pretty well with him...He was a bit slow and predictable from the outside and couldnt really fight on the inside, where Taylor handled him. Taylor had a big lead from memory and only fought in spurts later on, and got on his bike big time for the last couple of rounds.

The Glenwood brown fight he looked pretty bad IMO...I think he was very lucky Brown seemed to gas in that one because Meldrick had to come from behind to win.

He was straight up finished by the Espana fight.

My hat goes off the Meldrick Taylor though...He came to win against Chavez, he left everything in the ring and paid dearly. If I was a Taylor fan Id feel a little cheated also but Julio proved himself that night, in a brutally subtle beatdown.

I thought Taylor's win over Brown was a pretty good one in the sense that Taylor rose from the canvas twice to beat a decent, naturally bigger fighter. It was bad in the sense that Taylor was down twice and looked shaky, and it should've been a sign that Taylor was slipping (in addition to being small and not much of a puncher at WW).

I kind of wonder if his management saw the Norris bout as a cash-out fight.

Call me crazy but I thought Brown looked the smaller man in there..and it was Taylor forcing him back a fair bit later on. Maybe Im remembering it wrong.

Hard to say with Taylor, he harped on a hell of a lot about how 147 suited him and he struggled so much to make 140..but it was clear he lost a step there and he looked small for the weight next to Espana and Davis.
He might just have been one of the fighter on the cusp of both, to big to stay long at 140 but below average in size at 147. Sort of like Cotto but truth be told I think Miguel's trunk filled out well into 147, I dont think he was small for the weight actually.

Taylor lost a lot of blood in the first fight and was murdered in the second.
