This also bring up the important point that most of these types of fighters are the most underestimated. Cotto, Pavlik, and Juan Diaz are perfect examples. Aside from being pressure fighters they are extremely intelligent and can box just as well as the "slickster". In this respect Hatton is not an intelligent fighter. A pressure fighter for sure (hook and hold to be more correct) but not versatile or intelligent enough to be included in this category. I'm not taking anything away from PBF. He did a great job of exposing and clowning the 1 demensional Hatton. Maybe Hatton will learn to box knowing he can't rely on the dirty tactics that had gotten him through his career. Collazo wrote the book on how to beat Hatton. PBF just made sure to read it a few times. Cheers

No matter how well-conditioned you think you are, after a couple of rounds you just feel so ****ing tired you just wanna go into a defensive shell. All you think about is just sucking it up and continuing. And it's very difficult to throw technically sound punches when tired. I tought I had good stamina from running, but being inside that ring is another world. And I've only experienced sparring, so I can only imagine how tough real fights are...

To those people who have never boxed, they can have no conception how ****ing hard it is. It is incredibly tiring. And very skilled work. I boxed a little over 20 amateur fights between the age of 12 and 15 (2/3 rounders) and its so ****ing hard to keep up any kind of intensity. And actually throwing hard, straight punches is very hard. At the level I was at it was just kinda slapping punches that might resemble a crude, weak hook, until we were both nackered. The weight of the gloves made it hard at that age. Easy punches to take though. You cant really feel them with the headgear and adrenaline.

The only one I can think of is boxing through rounds is HARD.

You get people who say boxer A should do this, and boxer B should do that, but have never been in the ring for a round. Its ****ign ridiculously tiring. First round I ever did I couldnt see straight at the end of it, dizzy as ****.

    Boxing is hard as hell...

If people that talk so much smack about some fighters because they are not undefeated or because they lost a fight only got in the ring once the story would be diferent....

Every professional fighter should have some respect...

Is just easy to talk about this stuff when u don't know what it takes...

A lot of people only like boxing and enjoy watching it but don't know **** about boxing.....

Hit it right on the head. Pressure fighters, you as a boxer 1 has to be ready mentally and physically. especially if dude has a good chin, the only real way you can break them down is to land body shots on them, until they slow a bit and then you can get some kind of seperation to really g2 work. And as slicknick said, boxing is hard, I kno b/c I do it, while playing other sports, and I must say training 4 boxing is unlike anything else.

    You talkin about Taylor?

He didn't play possum, that fool just got beat up.

It's the result of him moving straight back instead of at an angle and being more of a fighter than a boxer.

If he boxed more, and moved when he got cornered, he would have had a MUCH better chance at beating Pavlik.

It will likely be his downfall again.

He has too much fight in him and not enough sense.
