Especially since it's from Floyd's mouth!

I think, around that time especially, people knew not to **** around with me when it came to talking Floyd ;-)

Mayweather couldn't have picked a better opponent for a comeback than Ortiz. A fighter who has good press coming into the fight but he is perfect stylistically for Mayweather to pick off and look brilliant whilst so.

Khan would be similar if that proves to be Mayweather's next fight. Floyd is the ideal fighter to exploit Khan's weaknesses; reaching in for example. I reckon Khan would put up a better showing than Ortiz however but would still lose comfortably. Mayweather should look for stoppages in both fights to be honest.

Pacquiao is the only man i think has the tools to beat Mayweather, due to his high punch output. I can see him winning on pts if the fight ever comes off

How can you compare one fight to a 38 game season??:lol:

If you took Haye, Floyd, Khan away from Boxing, it would be a whole lot poorer place. They are 3 of the biggest ticket sellers and PPV sellers you will find anywhere in world Boxing.

People give Haye grief for what happened in his last two fights but I guarantee if he announced a fight at say the O2 or MEN, it would be a near sellout, same goes for Khan and Floyd. Also with Floyd you saw how many turned up when he came over for his training session in London and another mark of how popular they are is the amount of followers all 3 have on Facebook and Twitter.

That's not really my criteria when defining my 'favourite fighters'.

On my comparison, because losing one or two or performing badly once or twice a season isn't the end of the World and doesn't mean you haven't won the league at the end of the year. It can be at the top level of boxing, and at the end of the fight if you've lost, you've lost. Haye for example, can't go out the next week and prove he's still the goods. In the old days, they could funnily enough ;-)

Haye only fights once a year: pretty much a whole season goes into his preperation, training etc etc.

The reason it will still be a sell out is because....well, yourself for instance. Haye still has his fans, and fair play.

But I won't be wasting any more time with him.

I just love the build-up to their fights, their styles and I know this puts a lot of people off but I love their arrogance and cockiness, thats probably why I was drawn to Naz and Eubank. Everything in those fighters is everything I like about modern Boxing, the glitz and glamour.

Due to he's high punch output..?

Ricky Hatton had a high punch out put.

The only thing which beats Mayweather is father time.

I love Eubank and Naz too. I like cockiness, but when it's done well. I never liked Naz's cockiness, more his awkwardness and ATG one-shot power.

Floyd, Haye and Khan....smarmy would be a better word IMO.

And cockiness is hardly a new thing, nor is the glitz and glamour, which is at an all time low pretty much....fighters used to be like film stars in terms of their popularity :good

Ricky never really applied it like Pac does though did he Kool? You, with a whole lot less clinching for starters.

I aren't doubting that mate about the old fighters but I'll admit I aren't really clued up on Boxing pre mid-90s, I know little bits and pieces but not much lol.

    No probs.

One thing I will say is that it's far less colourful in black + white ;-)

Gotta admit that Ortiz has that annoying twat look about him, but Floyd looks fake too.

Floyd should win this at a canter but I think he may well go for the stoppage in this like he has said.

Now about the rest of the stuff, firstly I think Haye gets some harsh criticism, and by that I mean he should get credit for going the distance with Wlad because I thought he was gettin KTFO, bigtime!

Next, about Manny/Floyd, Moe, I hope you are right with your prediction on that one, I am stuck in the middle trying to make a pick, unfortunately I think the edge goes to Mayweather because of his adaptability but if it does happen I will be hoping for a Pacman victory.

I rate Manny higher than Hatton and although Ricky got check-hooked in style he still hung in there with Floyd and posed some problems along the way. Mayweather did a lot of tying up inside and frustrated Ricky and if he is to face Manny I see him adapting similar tactics. He'll pot-shot and jab before doing a bit of MMA when Manny presses forward. Their next fights against Ortiz and Marquez will be good pointers, it'll be interesting to see what condition both are in and how Pacman handles Marquez this time.
