Pretty much. It wasn't a huge surprise...mainly because a lot of people probably haven't even seen Lorenzo.
Picked Lorenzo by decision, oh well guess I thought Marquez would be too old to perform the way he did like many others thought. Marquez really impressed me tonight, looked like the young gun in there and was just looking to fight and slug it out like he's 10 years younger.
We have noone but to blame but ourselves...with all the old dogs pulling off upsets in boxing, you'd think we would've seen this one coming
Exactly man. Think you'll pick Roy over Calzaghe?, Roy is an all-time favorite so I'll be rooting for him without any doubts but will be prepared for a painful night. Ohhh, Miranda making his entrance now.
I don't know if I'd take Roy over Joe...even with the old man push. Abraham's robe is Ric Flair-esque.
Marquez rewinded the clock no doubt, Lorenzo looked shocked at times in my opinion and lost looking to counter with 1 shot and end it at times but Marquez ate some of those shots like they meant nothing. Marquez just shocked everyone including Lorenzo which is why Lorenzo got desperate late and tried to headbutt on purpose. Miranda in the ring, Abraham in the ring now, looking serious.
He has lost three times, that isn't a lot and he is a solid smart fighter, IMO but these predictions some people make are ridiculous when I assume everybody here knows Marquez is a pretty solid and experienced fighter over a young untested fighter like Lorenzo. He proved a lot of fans wrong tonite with a good performance:yep
A bit of both. Marquez turned back the clock and Lorenzo was exposed for not being able to withstand a brawling pace/keep up with an experienced brawler. It's nothing Lorenzo can't get better at assuming he learns from this loss.
I know I won't take Roy over Joe but still have that hope inside as a big-time fan. Ric Flair-esque indeed. Hope he WOOOOOOs the crowd with a KO, fans boo'd him, expected. Introductions now.
