as much as I hate to say it.. shades of how he beat him in the amateurs were there last night..

I'm a huge Juanma fan, but I was disappointed last night..

He could have been just weight drained. He has been talking about moving up and this is why.

And JuanMa from any of his other recent fights would beat Mares. He add an off night that's all.

I don't think Mares would defeat Lopez even if Lopez had another night like yesterday's.

Lopez was pushed real hard last night, but Mares would've folded early.

I also think Mares would lose to last night's Mtagwa, and not by decision.

I have been suggesting this fight for a while now.
I even made a thread and of course most people even myself picked JML basically on size alone. However Mares does have skills so its a tough one.

Mtagwa is a strong guy. He can take a lot of punishment. Mares would have been asleep before the 7th. Don't be fooled because the guy had a tough fight. Lopez still wacks out most of the guys he fights.

what makes you so sure juanma would destroy a man that already has his number......mares would beat juanma, he's too smart in there and his punches are a lot more mature than juanmas......

Look Juanma looked like **** his last time out but to say that Mares beats any version of Junama is a bit of a stretch Cotto lost to a lot of guys in the amatueurs but in the pros its a different game

why...i've seen most of juanma's fights and most have ended early....the very few times he's gone a few rounds he's looked like ****...even when he was battering a poor'ol penalosa, he was the one looking tired and sluggish.....IMO mares is too smart for him and it will show if juanma dont run to 126
