Never heard of this Oral fella. Can anyone tell if he is any good or point me in the direction of some videos of him please?

Both Pavlik and Abraham are just as bad as each other at the moment. Their opposition leaves much to be desired. They need to stop ****ing around!

Can't shake the feeling that AA's career is moving sideways with opponents like this.

If you're going to call Pavlik out non-stop, and claim he is your only reason for staying at 160, Which opponent makes more sense:

    Fulgencio Zuniga or Elvin Ayala?

    Winky Wright or LuJaun Simon?

    Roman Karmazin or Mahir Oral?

Sauerland/Abraham will not go near Pavlik. Sauerland just uses Kelly's name to draw attention to Arthur.

Want to explain why he has been trying to get a fight with Pavlik lately?, surely Pavlik isn't one of those " no hopers" or is he?

What I see is Abraham being the one trying to make this fight, the response he's getting is beyond pathetic. "Get more popular in the US and we will consider it!", yeah like Mora is popular enough coming off a LOSS to a past prime Forrest one division below.

Also, please educate me on why he's rated #6 by the WBC?, losing at Jr. Middleweight?

Sauerland has not done jack **** toward making a fight happen. When did calling a guy out for publicity sake become a legit effort to make a fight happen? See post #22.

They contact them and you know about it well enough. The answer they got is "Fight some more in the US and build a fanbase here first" then they went on to sign for Mora out of all people.

This is a Middleweight fight we KNOW Abraham wants and we know the public wants to see, what are they waiting for?, waiting for Abraham to have trouble making weight then sign to fight him?

It's obvious already who's making attempts to make the fight and it sure as hell isn't Arum. Watch the post fight interview with Pavlik after the Rubio fight, Abraham was brought up and they spoke about him like he's some unknown who needs to build a fanbase first before they fight him.

Why are you acting like any of those names are...well...names? I mean there's no NAME at the MW division. Pavlik made his name by beating Miranda, he did THAT after Abraham beat him. Granted Pavlik did it in an absolutely BRUTAL fashion and that's what counts...but they share the name at MW. The other name that Pavlik has over Abraham is Taylor who now fights at SMW.

This whole "opponents" stuff is silly. They should fight each other. Period. End of discussion. This isn't debatable.

They won't fight each other so I guess we can enjoy Oral, Bore-a and all those guys while they last.

Tell me precisely what you saw in the Abraham/Simon fight that allows you to believe AA is a legitimate threat.

Arum has made the same request of Sauerland since 2007. AA has fought here 1 time, and then called out Oscar. He mentioned Pavlik, but it sure as **** wasn't the firrst name on his mind. Sauerland knows what he is doing. Building AA's rep on the strength of Pavlik's name while protecting Arthur's zero and his title.

Of course we all want to see Pavlik/AA, but in the meantime, what happened to all the top 5 contenders at MW????? This is so stupid, I'm not sure either camp wants their fighter 'damaged'.

First and foremost, if they were protecting his zero, they wouldn't of came to Florida and taken a fight at a catchweight where Edison Miranda was "MUCH STRONGER" and all that jazz. That's silly.

As per building his "rep" on Pavlik's name, that's silly as well. It's funny how Sauerland and company mention that talks are "intensifying" and then when it's dead, we all rush to blame them.

Whatever dude. Let Abraham go up to SMW and doddle there and let Pavlik wipe out the crap at MW.

I agree it should happen, but don't lay the blame entirley on Arum. That dog won't hunt. Look at the choices sauerland makes. He chose Ayala over Zuniga even though at the time Zuniga had given KP his toughest fight other than JT. He chose Simon over Winky even though KP spent years trying to get Winky. Now he chooses Oral over any number of better opponents. It really doesn't sound like Sauerland is trying to paint KP into a corner. He just uses Kelly's name to draw attention to Arthur. If they want this fight so bad there is nothing stopping Arthur from vacating and setting up a mandatory with Karmazin. Roman wants it, and I'm sure it could be arranged.

Pavlik v Abraham could always happen at 168. But it lacks the appeal without the Undisputed MW title on the line.

It should of happened before Pavlik lost to Hopkins, that loss means the fight has also lost a lot of it's appeal.
