I haven't bought any PPVs in years, and I wonder what goes on in the heads of the people who pay for these fixed fights. It's basically like wrestling, but the fix is more subtle. The protected fighter just has to run away all night and go the distance - then the judges score the fight for him. If his performance was particularly bad, then they score it a draw.

Let me reimind you of the two Kovalev-Ward fights. They robbed Kovalev twice, and in two completely different ways. Teddy Atlas explained how promoters pay off the judges:

i said it would be more competitive.......mcgregor won 4 rounds, i had canelo winning 3. The people booed him though. His fans saw through his crap.

 

There should be an investigation. The biggest winner tonight was Vegas. They won big.

I hadn't realized your 'auntie' was a woman. I've seen her on video and assumed she was one of them new-fangled types that we've been seeing in the news (and the washrooms) of late, LBQGTY, I think they're called.

Anyway, if she isn't LBQ whatever, my apologies. Don't mention any of this to her when you see her at Thanksgiving. I don't want to hurt her (its?) feelings.

I note she is up for Rigo-Loma in December. I think we should start a crowd-funding project before then and get her some eyeglasses. I Hate to see the criticism she takes on here and wouldn't want a repeat in 3 months time.

Of course, if her peepers aren't the problem, we need to consider other remedies.

I voted for Lara. Because the others I thought were no more than 3 rounds off, but 117-111 Canelo over Lara I thought was 4 rounds off.

 

Lara had three decent rounds where he didn't run outright, the other 8 he ran like marathoner, so in that light it's not hard to understand why anyone would only award him three rounds.

 

She be a thespian, no doubt.
