No, you are missing the point and have misread my post.

I don't care to read the hype about a possible fight until one is actually signed. This whole saga has been ongoing for ages with no end in sight so why play up to it?

Hayes wife IS ill. That's why he wasn't at the boxing writers lunch the other day. I don't think it's serious but Haye is a family man so its perfectly understandable why he hasn't been saying much.

If true, I do hope she gets better.

However, she hasn't been ill for the past couple months. Wlad's video call out was approx 2-months ago, and the original deadline given by the IBF to work out a deal was May 17th.

There are 2 sides to every story, have you seen the contract that was offered yourself? If you have then ill give you credit, if you haven't then don't spit out opinions like they're damn facts.

I've seen the contract...and they wanted Haye to defend the title against a man beating bear if he beat Wlad and Vitali which he most certainly would. I seriously can't blame David for turning that offer down, especially with him being the recongized Champion and all.

I know the silence makes people think the bits of Haye news are excuses but Booth seems to be trying to keep the media away from Hayes personal life which is what mates do.
    Look at it this way.
Booth said ages ago that Wlad should go ahead and fight Povetkin. Not a duck, just common sense knowing that Haye was about to become a dad again and that work would not be high on the list of priorities. These guys have a bit more breathing space than the average working man. They can take rests to take care of family business which a lot of us can't.

I have a question. How many times Klits lied in public about contracts which made ppl unwilling to believe them?

You talk about Haye like you would know him in person. The fact is you know as much as you read in interviews or hear from TV, which is ****. Or perhps you actually do know him?

I understand what you are saying, but there are two problems with it.

    1. Haye went around with the public confrontations, the t-shirts, calling the Klitschkos bums, etc.... for what? 2-years now...and he doesn't want to step up?? If he had just kept his mouth quite, and worked his way up the division, no one would think much of the current situation.

    2. Haye is going to fight around Sept-Oct anyway, so if he is fighting, it might as well be against Wladimir. And it's not like he does the negotiating himself, it wouldn't really take time away from him and his family except to answer some phone calls and take a fax or two while sitting on his couch. He has lawyers, manager, etc... to actually take care of the deal for him.

Wow. A lot of you calling me out for this post:

    I'll cite another post.

Sorry if it bothers you. Adam Booth hasn't done anything to refute it. Isn't that his job?

It's all in good fun you knobs. How can you expect your guy not to get **** for all of his talking and not delivering? He brought it on himself.

We're all looking forward to the same thing: Haye signing on to do what he promised.

Now have a pint, enjoy your evening.
