No chance... he was fighting possibly the slowest fat **** with no boxing skill in the division and still got caught several times... with his small reach and inability of avoiding punches both Klitschko's would beat him.... comfortably. Adamek's biggest issue is a complete lack of power at the weight
I don't understand the "Adamek is too small" comments. Go through a list of all Top 10 boxers of the last 10 years and look how many of them were considerably bigger than Adamek. Not too many. In fact Adamek is about the size of Brewster or Byrd. Guys who proved they could hang with big heavyweights. Do not misunderstand me, you can certainly find many reasons why Adamek may not be the greatest boxer. But height and size are not among them.
Actually Adameks defensive skillz are way better than Haye. ...and powerwise, nobody expects from Adamek a KO on Vit, cuz its undoable (even for Lewis). Adameks high workrate and durability are the key here and his (exaggerated) lack of power means not much.
No business at HW? He will probably get more money for this fight alone than for 2-3 years of fighting as cruiserweight champion... assuming he would stay undefeated there. And, as everybody is expected to lose against Klitschko, such a loss does not mean much - he may be back at the top shortly (like Peter, who fought both brothers 3 times).
Best 4.99 I ever spent, high quality stream with no ads, no choppiness, looked great on the telly, a few entertaining scraps on the undercard, and tomasz schooling a goliath at pattycake. I wish more fights were on ustream. I'd buy them every weekend. Still, 29.95 to get the web stream in the states was insane. I guess they wanted people to pay the same for the tv version.
wow its surprising how fast and agile mcbride is for such a big man, sort of reminds me of sugar ray leonard.
Haye was a slightly better cruiser and is a clearly better heavy. Adamek's skills are fine but his lack of power at 200+ is a potential game breaker for him in addition to his height. Adamek was shaken by a faded Grant and Arreola which lets his punch resistance at HW appear in a bad light (both decent puncher to be fair but not Haye or Wlad level). Haye's win over Valuev was respectable, don't discredit him on that. I found it impossible to score the fight in favor of SNV as he landen virtually NOTHING despite having the significantly higher punching output. His chicken dance in round 12 remains unforgotten.
