It was $500k, and what's more, the $500k was not even guaranteed.

Ahh the Hopkins spin machine is at work.

Smoke and mirrors BHOP smoke and mirrors.

He is doing this because he is on the verge of calling out Froch who he will pay more to fight because of his much easier style to deal with.

Hopkins is so ****ing full of himself it's not even funny.

    What a snake.

$500k works out to roughly 10% of what that fight would've made, give or take a few percentage points. I've seen the total purse estimated at a range anywhere from $4-6 million.

this is BS. They had 6 million total for the fight and offered Adamek 500k and Hopkins was going to take the other 5.5 million.

    That is a farce.

    The farce is just beggining.

BHOP's lie angered Adamek's lawyer(the person who truly deals with the details of a contract) so much he went on record and called him on his bull****.

!!!!!!Expect Hopkins to now pursue Froch!!!!!!!!

Every report in every article has the sum of $500K.The e-mail BHOP was answering on TV on FNF even mentioned the same sum yet the only person in the World to mention 1.2 mill is Hopkins when a camera is in his face because he knows he ****ed up by first making his announcement on FNF only to turn around PUSS out of the fight.

How in the World does he know that Adamek instead will go on to fight for only $200k when he can do about $500K at the live gate alone.Hopkins is making **** up as he goes.

With all due respect to Rob Calloway, Adamek could fight a Calloway-level opponent and pull in a $500 k pay day. That kind of offer from Hopkins is an insult at best, and highway robbery at worst, but I can't say I'm surprised about it.

He could fight someone even weaker and complety unknown and still do $500k.

Hopkins was embarassed by the question "why did you lowball Adamek' so he quickly made up a sum and threw it out there. Why would Adamek turn down a career payday againt a 44 year old smaller fighter moving up?
