Anyone giving cloud a chance of causing the upset here.

He's durable and can box, If he avoids being tagged early his style could give Adonis trouble.

Stevenson's power is absolutely sickening though.

Also is there any truth in the winner fighting Bellew in November?

  2. Stevenson will beat cloud easy I think. I can't wait to see him knockout that LIIVVVAA POOOOOL chav Tony Bellew

this is a 50/50 fight, Stevenson, other than his one punch KO of Bad Chad, hasn't beaten anyone of note, Cloud is the better boxer, but that's not saying much, seeing as he was schooled by both Campillo and B-Hop

Hoping it's competitive whilst it lasts, it's gone completely under the radar due to recent events, I want Stevenson to win so we can see some unification fights with Bhop or Krusher.

True, and the move to light heavy clearly haven't affected his power.

i suspect cloud will try and start early, to try and either catch adonis off guard or to set the pace of the fight, but i think this will backfire, putting cloud out of his comfort zone, commiting a mistake that adonis will capitalize on

I want Stevenson to win against Cloud and Bellew JUST so we can see Kovalev-Stevenson.

it's not beyond Cloud to catch Adonis if he opens up too wide when attacking. so no, the upset isn't out of the question. but i'll go for an Adonis stoppage mid to late.

yeah, the winner has to fight Bellew in November.

Damn one month between title fights? They must think Bellew's a real easy touch.

Tavoris Cloud, for all his limits, is a live dog in this fight. He's durable and can crack. Stevenson can crack, but he's been rocked by lesser punchers than Cloud.

I thought Don George stunned him once or twice when Stevenson. I seem to remember sometime near the end of the 5th round (I believe) Stevenson came charging to finish George off because he just dropped him twice in a row, George hit him with a counter and spun Stevenson against the ropes and Stevenson was holding on as the round ended.

Nothing too severe, but he did seem a little stunned. I think George might have stunned him another time in the fight, but its been a long time, I'll have to watch again.

I see this^. Not to say that Adonis is chinny but Cloud can bang. I see a very real possibility of Stevenson getting caught on the counter, for all that I favour him in this fight. I think the psycological state of the fighters may well play a large role, however, with Adonis at the peak of his career and Cloud coming off his first (official) loss, the prior Campillo schooling and a long lay-off.

Also, although this could turn out to be classiic punch-up between two big hitters, I actually see more of a slow tactical battle, with each looking for the KO punch, but both too wary of the counter to let much go.

Assuming Bellew doesn't get sidelined, however, I see either of them (preferably Stevenson) running right over him (sorry, Tony, but I am a Manc) to hopefully meet Kovalev next year.
